local materials, climate and the traditional architecture that allows us to harmoniously assimilate
modernism with the traditional Belizean wisdom.
Our goal is to provide architecture of pure elements in dialogue with nature and the individual character of
each build site that emphasizes intelligent and sustainable design.
We are keenly aware of the impact we have on our planet and are committed to delivering
solutions that achieve the highest quality.
Our design aesthetic for the villas at Caputie Residences is to be:
a simple, private and modern, tropical escape
Sitting on the sloped Mayan Mountains, the sites amazing views of the famous Hummingbird Hills and
presents each villa build site with a breath-taking entrance and atmosphere in a tropical surrounding.
Each Pavilion was designed sustainably using simple local materials such a as sand stones,
colored cement and local hard woods from the land at Caputie Residences, and other parts of Belize.
Tropical forest backgrounds become foreground throughout the entire space.
With the valley background in mind, we designed every Pavilion space
to have an interaction with the luscious landscape.
We approach the sustainability of our Pavilions by using
local craftsmanship and materials, and providing spaces with natural
airflow to reduce the usage of air-conditioning. To achieve this, our Pavilions were
designed with large open living spaces and many completely outdoor facilities.
To give the Pavilions a tropical and local architectural language,
thatched roofs are available and used to define the interior spaces. Using local material
commonly used in Belizean architecture, our thatched roofs are known to absorb heat, keeping the
interior spaces at a very comfortable temperature.
